Purpose(s) of Role

 

To drive the distribution and profitable growth of our brands through the better appreciation and      understanding of their key attributes.

 

To represent the brands appropriately at trade and consumer events, as well as in training sessions, as Brand Ambassador - conducting tastings and giving brand masterclass and cocktail presentations from the full spirits portfolio.

 

To play a key role as Brand Ambassador in a range of brand and market initiatives, ranging from brand activations and drink strategies to hosting customer visits to Distilleries and more.

 

To play a role in developing and distributing social media content, with particular emphasis on serves.

 

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Attendance at key consumer and trade facing events, nationally and internationally, where necessary interfacing with IBHL Sales teams & their distributor networks, to act as the key representative for the Premium Spirits brands.

 

  • Support local sales teams in achieving objectives with local distributors and key customers, through brand masterclasses, training and events as well as direct sell-in support.

 

  • Assist in the development of the brand education and support materials.

 

  • Provide structured feedback from the consumers / customers & markets to assist our Brand Management and NPD functions in assessing relevant consumer and trade trends.

 

  • To ensure that brand positioning and brand tone of voice is ‘on brand’, and being communicated consistently on message by our RTM distributors in market and through all brand digital platforms. 

 

  • Support the brands content strategy through appropriate digital presence, as required and where agreed with the Digital, Communication and PR Manager, deliver on time and to brand requirements. To play a role in developing and distributing social media content, with particular emphasis on serves

 

  • Work with third party and in-market ambassadors (when appropriate), ensuring that they have the required knowledge and tools to represent the brands effectively and appropriately.

 

  • Enhance the understanding of cocktail culture within the organisation and act as the in-house mixologist for the brands as appropriate. This includes creating drink strategies as well as training, presentations and social media content.

 

Scope of Role

 

  • This will be a highly visible role that operates across categories and departments, in key markets in Europe (and beyond, if required).

 

  • Regular reporting on achievements will be required to senior management team. Reporting will be required to the direct line manager and possibly at some quarterly review meetings; the annual S&M conference and at key in-market sales/planning team meetings.

 

  • Regular and effective communication (formal & non-formal) will be critical to the success of the role.

 

Working Conditions

 

  • Based in UK, this role will be both office and market-based, and will be a 5 day a week role. A significant amount of travel will be a necessity.

 

  • You will be required to work additional hours as necessitated by the extensive travel requirements and other business needs.

 

Personal Profile

 

 

  • Must have hands-on bartending experience and be proficient in cocktail development and service.

 

  • Must have a thorough practical understanding of on premise environment and extensive knowledge of the latest bartending and mixology trends.

 

  • Should have an excellent understanding of the wider spirits industry, be familiar with and passionate about spirit categories and the landscape of key brands. However, full brand training will be provided.

 

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously

 

  • High levels of energy

 

  • Very strong interpersonal, communication & presentation skills, must have personal credibility and the ability to engage and enthuse a wide variety of audiences

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Qualified to a degree level would be an advantage but not essential
  • Foreign language an advantage but not compulsory
